We welcome you to the Haumia Chronicles.

This presentation was inspired by Haumea, our goddess of childbirth, war and politics. She is the embodiment of the power of women, and her mana resides in all of us.

The show includes oli, poetry, readings, and skits. Inspired by events in their own lives and in the lives of those close to them, most of tonight’s pieces were written by the person presenting it. These presentations focus on the ups and downs of life. Most of all, it is a celebration of womanhood…a celebration of all that we are.

There are two main sections: Pō, or darkness, and Ao, or light. Pō glimpses into the non-physical world, that of our kūpuna, and what they have passed down to us. Ao focuses on the physical world we live in, and reminds us of the hardships and the humor that surrounds us.

We hope you enjoy Haumia Chronicles!
